Getting around Shelter and the Deadlands

There are a few ways to get around Shelter and the Deadlands with varying reliability.

Horse

The most reliable way to get around the Deadlands. Humankind's biggest four-legged best friend needs to be cared for with food and water. If you find one in the world, you may be able to tame one to ride. (Right click on the horse to claim or domesticate one if it's not claimable. If you've tried those and it hasn't worked, open a general ticket to inquire. Some horses may be untameable.)

To ride the horse, right click on the horse icon on the ground and click Mount.

To dismount, right click on the horse in your inventory and select Dismount.

Vehicle

Cars, trucks and bikes are fairly rare in the world. Those that are still around may have been heavily damage or scavenged. If you find a working vehicle, a mechanic can make a Locking Kit:

Feet

Ya probably have two. It might be dangerous to wander around outside the Shelter valley for an extended period of time. Sandstorms, hordes, radiation and lack of water are major concerns. Not to mention bandits...
